Project Alvor, a delightful traditional Portuguese family home nestled in the picturesque town of Montes de Alvor. This charming residence embraces its heritage while providing all the comforts of modern living. We've meticulously renovated the building to create a seamless fusion of old and new. The original building has been transformed, featuring a contemporary open-plan layout that flows effortlessly into a beautifully outdoor courtyard. This modern design concept not only enhances the living space but also showcases the home's historical charm.

Working with a particularly frugal budget, we were able to create a unique space with a modern quality look and feel. Thinking out the box, and repurposing furniture pieces, we were able to achieve a proud finish that matched the clients vision and budget.

Transformation

The original home featured multiple small, cramped rooms, typical of traditional Portuguese architecture. To create a more spacious and functional living space, we removed all interior walls and flooring, opting for a modern open-plan concept. This layout allows for a seamless flow between living areas, enhancing the overall sense of space and light.

A brand-new, open kitchen, modern bathrooms, and updated finishes were incorporated throughout the home, blending seamlessly with the property's historical charm. To further connect the interior with the outdoors, large sliding glass doors were installed, replacing solid exterior walls and opening up to a stunning courtyard.
